IoT-Based Air Conditioning Control System for Energy Saving

A high portion of electric consumption is air conditioning in householders or offices, reaching 42%. Therefore, it necessary to automatically regulate operations for energy saving using a control system, usually involving its hardware. As another option, the system also involves electronic devices and software. This research developed an automatic ESP32 microcontroller integrated into Blynk-based internet things (IoT) energy-saving conditioning. The was programmed Arduino IDE combined with motion sensor maximize saving. trigger turn on system. recorded data were current, voltage, power, temperature, detection. Based consumed computed trapezoidal Simpson's composite rules numerical integrations ordinary methods. testing conducted conventional, manual, operations. yielded operated adequately. results revealed that operation saved 1.15 kWh (15.00%),0.99 (13.66%), 1.14 (14.87%) average daily compared conventional operation, respectively, by ordinary, rule, rule computations.
